WRITTEN AND CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH IS A MUST***Accounting Junior Specialist.This is a great opportunity for someone starting out their professional career!OVERVIEW:Processing Center located in Panama City is looking for a Accounting Junior Specialist, who will perform different functions ensuring the proper organization and verification of financial information and accounting processes such as the month-end reports and assist with clerical and administrative tasks. This role will manage sensitive information received on Bank Statements and input this data into accounting systems.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Record financial transactions based on their nature and established guidelines.
  • Assist on assurance compliance with important accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Demonstrate accuracy when input financial data into various accounting systems.
  • Pull or request data and documentation from various internal/external systems.
  • Assist with reconciling financial data to ensure consistency between different sources.
  • Organize and maintain electronic or physical records of financial transactions.
  • Meet deadlines for data entry tasks to ensure that financial information is processed in a timely manner.
  • Prepare account reconciliations such as bank, clearing, AR, and AP.
  • Manage customers accounts and keep good tracking of their individual balances. (Payment applications and invoicing) .
  • Assist with external/internal audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and explanations as needed.
  • Work independently and manage multiple priorities while collaborating with colleagues in the Finance and other departments as needed.
  • Support the month end process.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Software, specifically Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems such as SAGE and or Acumatica is a plus.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to remain focused.
  • Overall positive attitude and willingness to adapt to change.
  • Highly organized, accurate and ability to properly escalate issues timely.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • General knowledge of accounting functions.
  • Appropriate handling of sensitive information.
  • Team player with the ability to work with multiple parties.
Training and Experience:
  • Previous work experience in accounting or finance is a plus, but not required. This is a great opportunity for someone starting out their professional career in a dynamic and growing environment.
  • Currently studying Accounting or a similar field.
  • Highschool diploma in Commerce or Accounting.
