This role supports payroll operations, statutory reporting, and employee inquiries, while coordinating with HR, Finance, and external stakeholders.Key responsibilities:Process end-to-end payroll for employees in Panama, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Review and validate time and attendance data, including overtime, shifts, and manual adjustments.Ensure compliance with Panamanian labor laws and internal company policies.Manage statutory deductions, including CSS (Caja de Seguro Social), ISR (income tax), and other local contributions.Prepare and submit reports and payments to CSSReconcile payroll data with accounting and ensure proper reporting.Coordinate payroll payments through banking platforms (e.g., CITIBANK).Handle employee payroll inquiries and provide timely resolution.Support internal and external audits by providing payroll documentation.Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes and controls.We are looking for:3+ years of experience in payroll processing in Panama or Latin America (mandatory).Strong knowledge of CSS regulations, Panamanian labor law, and local tax requirements (ISR).Experience with payroll systems (Workday preferred).Familiarity with banking platforms and payroll payment processes.High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.Bilingual (Spanish and English)Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis.#LI-KV1#LI-HybridMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
