DescriptionPosition at EF Education FirstAccounting ManagerPanama City, PanamaEF is currently seeking a knowledgeable Accounting Manager to join our team in Panama. As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee day to day tasks as well as monthly/quarterly/year-end closing, support payroll process, work closely with the business, be responsible to deliver process efficiency and accuracy as well as working on variance, forecasting and budgeting projects.The role:

Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly closing reporting
Manage payroll monthly process and reconciliation of the payroll accounts
Lead process improvements and other internal projects
Work closely with the business and your different stakeholders
Support with budgets and business decisions
Produce financial reports and statements on a regular basis
Communicate with external advisers and auditors
Manage tax and compliance for various jurisdictions

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/ Accounting/ Finance or similar.
Three or more years of experience in the field of accounting.
Strong competence in MS Excel.
Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP skills is an advantage
Strong understanding of accounting, finance, internal controls, and management principles.
Strong communication and social skills, able to work in English and Spanish (written & verbal) and with all levels of management.
Attention to detail and ability to analyse.
An energetic personality with a positive can-do attitude.
Solution-oriented, open-minded, and driven.
Flexible and able to multitask as well as being comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The ability to structure, plan and prioritize work in order to deliver against multiple deadlines.
