- Manages the quality program to include conducting daily inspections, documenting discrepancies, implementing corrective actions, and supporting the Project Manager in meeting contract requirements.
- Ensures all quality control functions are performed following the Project Quality Control Plan.
- Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, work instructions, and contractual requirements.
- Provides initial and ongoing quality training to project personnel on aspects of the project QC programs and iMS relevant to their function and responsibility.
- Schedules quality inspections and re-inspections.
- Inspects work performed by subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract quality standards.
- Ensures all required inspections are properly captured within iMS.
- Collects and analyzes inspection data to identify performance work trends.
- Properly document all discrepancies discovered and identify the responsible person(s).
- Works with employees, contractors, and the customer to determine appropriate remedial or preventive actions required to correct any discrepancies found during inspections.
- Monitors and evaluates the implementation of corrective actions identified.
- Submits quality reports, including iMS reports, as scheduled or requested to the Project Manager, Corporate Quality Control Manager, Customer, and/or Prime Contractor.
- Performs general office duties.
- Generates reports and responds to queries for information.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems.
- Develops and maintains good subcontractor, vendor, and customer relations.
- Maintains effective communication with senior corporate staff, supervisors, employees, and customers.
- Presents yourself in a professional manner at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain base access.
- Submit to and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Detailed knowledge of Quality Control principles and the ability to translate these principles into practical and specific Quality Control Plans.
- Be able to collect, collate, analyze, and compare actual work performance data with the contract requirements and determine and implement specific courses of action to rectify non-conforming work.
- Be able to constructively interact with associates, subordinates, support staff, and senior management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with a high level of difficulty.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in preparing and enforcing QMS programs on contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Prior experience working on government contracts.
- Maximo and Costpoint experience.
- OSHA 10.
